The idea for My Cheval came to us on a frustrating day. Our farrier was at the yard, and I realized I’d completely forgotten to book Millie in.

The farrier couldn’t do her as he had too many horses booked that day, so we rescheduled, and the very next day, Millie lost a shoe of course. I couldn’t ride her until the farrier came back the following week, and it was a stressful reminder of how much there is to keep track of as a horse owner.

Then there were also the countless trips to the equestrian store. I’d stand there trying to remember what size girth or bit Millie or Alfie needed, only to guess wrong and have to return it later.

I’d tried sticky notes, phone reminders, and apps, but nothing worked the way I needed. So, I decided to build something better. My Cheval was born from a desire to make horse care easier—not just for me, but for horse owners everywhere.
